PERCEIVED TEAM STRENGTHS
Grand Haven has pretty good size and will likely be one of the biggest teams in the conference. The Bucs also have plenty of experience returning along, with players who can deliver in the post and on the perimeter.
PERCEIVED TEAM CHALLENGES
Depth will be a challenge, because Grand Haven currently has only eight players healthy.
CONFERENCE FAVORITES
Defending state champion Hudsonville and Rockford will both be really good again this season, according to Kowalczyk-Fulmer. The Buccaneers are hopeful to be in the mix as well for a conference title.
FIRST GAME
Grand Haven will open up at Traverse City Central on December 3.
COACH QUOTE
“Winning a district title is always the goal. Muskegon and Mona Shores are both good, along with Reeths-Puffer, which has a good group as well. We’re in a competitive district and we want to win it and be competitive in regionals.” – Katie Kowalczyk-Fulmer
