Fruitport posted an easier 11-1 win in Game 2. Hudson Hazekamp got the win on the mound, scattering three hits and striking out four with one walk in five innings.

The Trojans piled up 12 hits, led by French, Kennedy, Bosch, Jaxon Stone and Braxton Ward with two apiece. French, Kennedy and Rusnak each drive in two runs.

Fruitport improved to 10-6 overall and 6-5 in O-K Blue conference play.

“We played well,” said Fruitport head coach Nick Reed. “Some players think the credit should go to the Lucky Log, but these men are playing really well together in all aspects. We are getting timely hitting and great pitching and defense. I like where we are at but we can do more and that’s our goal.”
