The Fruitport girls soccer team tied Coopersville 1-1 on Wednesday in an O-K Blue sonference matchup.

Kendal Kolberg scored her fifth goal of the season to give Fruitport a 1-0 lead that held for the majority of the game.

However, Coopersville netted the equalizer with just two minutes left to ultimately end the game in a 1-1 tie.

Fruitport goalkeeper Riley Kettel had a solid night in goal with eight saves in the tie.

Kendal Kolberg, who scored her fifth goal of the season.

“Mallory Smith had a phenomenal game,” said Trojan head coach Kyle Hall, who also credited Izzy Hanson-Wilbur, Gracelynn Olson, McKenzie Pate and Rhiannon Raleigh with strong performances.

The Trojans are now 2-5-1 overall and 0-4-1 in conference play.

Fruitport will be back in action on Friday when they face Ludington in a non-conference clash.
