The Fruitport baseball team found its offense on Friday, piling up 10 hits and 10 walks in a 12-0 non-conference victory over Montague.

The performance was important for the Trojans, who had been struggling at the plate and had lost four games in a row, despite getting strong pitching.

Ricky Wiggins drew a bases-loaded walk in the second inning, forcing home a run. Avery Lambers hit a two-run double in the third inning, making the score 3-0.

Six more runs came in the sixth inning to put the game away. Brady French, Trevor Rusnak, Tommy Anderson, Wiggins and Daiton Campbell all drove in single runs in the inning.

Rusnak finished with three hits while French had two.

Lambers pitched the victory, strikeout out nine with no walks and three hits over six innings.

The Trojans are now 4-5 on the season.eddie
