The Fruitport boys soccer team nailed down the top seed in the upcoming O-K Silver conference tournament with a 3-0 victory over Godwin Heights on Tuesday.
The Trojans improved to 6-0-1 in conference play and finished in first place in the regular part of the schedule, which gave then the top seed.
They will host Hopkins on Thursday in the first round of the tournament.
The Trojans pulled ahead early on Tuesday when Tate Marshall headed a ball into the Godwin Heights goal, with an assist from Jyles Smith, about four minutes into the game.

Marshall scored again in the second half, with an assist from Cam Miller, then Gavin Wilson found the net to round out the scoresheet.
Goalie Sebastian Sweet stopped two shots for Fruitport.
Fruitport coach Dan Hazekamp credited the defensive back line of Roger Camp, Brady Woycehoski, Hayden Taylor, Hudson Hazekamp and Conner King for a solid performance.
He also singled out Cole Luker, Quincy McDaniels and Gracen Schulz for their offensive efforts.
“It was a great start, and I thought we did a good job of managing the game from beginning to end,” said Hazekamp, whose team is now 13-1-3 overall on the season. “We received some great effort off the bench, and I thought our depth played a factor in our success.
“Godwin is a really solid team, and they’ve caused us issues in the past, so it was a great result and keeps us in control of our conference destiny.”
