The Fruitport volleyball team is used to winning, and after a tough outing on Saturday, the Trojans got right back to normal on Monday.
Fruitport breezed through a three-team competition at North Muskegon High School by posting a perfect 3-0 record.
The Trojans defeated Hart 25-12, 25-21, North Muskegon 25-19, 25-21, and Shelby 25-18, 25-23
It was a nice bounce-back for Fruitport after posting a 1-2 record against good opponents at last weekend’s Byron Center Invitational.
“It was a good night to build up our momentum after a tough weekend of competition,” said Fruitport head coach Samantha Fehler. “We were challenged tonight, and we know exactly what we need to continue to work on.”
Izzy Hanson-Wilbur and Rowyn Miller had 18 and 17 kills, respectively, for Fruitport. Addison Bordeaux added 12 and Myla Parker had 10.
McKenna Joslyn played a big role in setting up the offense, totaling 22 assists. Regan Wilson served up seven aces.
On defense, Porter Johnson had 37 digs and Wilson added 36.
The Trojans, now 17-4-4 on the season, will host Kelloggsville in an O-K Silver conference match on Thursday.
