Two runners from the Fruitport boys cross country team finished in the top five at Tuesday’s Eagle Invitational at Fruitport Calvary Christian.
Junior Christian Pavlige who finished in second place individually out of 66 runners with a time of 16:37. He finished behind Western Michigan Christian’s Owen Sytsema, who took first place with a time of 16:34.
Fruitport junior Dylan Winskas had a fifth-place finish with a time of 17:46.

Overall the Trojans finished in fifth place in the seven-team event.
The Trojans had a team score of 123. Western Michigan Christian won the event as a team with a score of 35, while Mason County Eastern (59) finished in second place and Reeth-Puffer (100) was in third.
Holton was in fourth place and Mona Shores came in fifth with scores of 104 and 112, respectively.
Fruitport freshman Landon Przybylek had a time of 21:31, which was good for 34th place individually, while sophomore Carlos Cavero turned in a time ofe 24:13 and finished 49th.
Junior Damon Marksbury finished in 57th place with a time of 27:22.
