The undefeated Fruitport boys bowling team is led by a group of very experienced starters, but the Trojans apparently also have role players who can do a great job, as well.
One is junior Troy Dykstra, who got in the lineup on Thursday and rolled a team-high 239 game to lead the Trojans to a very impressive 23.5-2.5 victory over rival Spring Lake.
The Trojans are now a perfect 4-0 on the season.
Fruitport dominated throughout, winning both baker games and getting the two bonus points, to take a 10-0 lead.

They won both regular games by scores of 833-796 and 908-625, adding eight points.
Bradley Dekker, Corbin Judd, Remy Parker and Peyton Wirt won their individual matchups in Game 1 and earned four more points for Fruitport. Dekker had a team-high game of 178.
Dekker, Dykstra, Wirt, Dylan Winskas and Keenan Camp won their head-to-head matchups in Game 2, providing four more points. Dykstra rolled his 239 score in Game 2.
Fruitport also won the two-point bonus for winning the combined score in Games 1 and 2.
“Our boys team had a great day on the lines,” said Fruitport head coach Tim McKeeby. “We showed a very strong front and made the correct adjustments. Huge shout out to our most valuable bowler of the night, Troy Dykstra! Troy came off of the bench and rolled a 239 game.
“We are so proud of this team, not just for their skills, but also for their great attitudes and teamwork.”
