The Fruitport wrestling team maintained its undefeated dual match record with a pair of close wins on Wednesday.
The Trojans beat Hopkins 43-33 in an important O-K Silver conference matchup.
Winners for Fruitport were Cooper Lengkeek (157 pounds), Chase Rosema (190), Luke Westerlund (285), Kayden Barnes (106), Zach Aardema (126) and Davis Johnson (144).
Rosema, Barnes and Aardema won by pin. Lengkeek and Johnson won by technical fall.
The Trojans gained six points from one forfeit victory.
Fruitport had an even closer match with Grand Rapids Catholic Central in non-conference action, actually tying on the scoreboard 39-39.

But Grand Rapids Catholic received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in one of the matches, which cost GRCC a team point. The penalty also gave Fruitport the team win, due to the fact that the tie was caused by the infraction.
The Trojan winners against GRCC were Ethan Riggs (215), Aardema, Johnson, Lengkeek, Rosema, Riggs and Westerlund.
Aardema, Rosema and Westerlund won by pin. Johnson won by technical fall and Riggs won by major decision.
Fruitport gained six points with one forfeit victory.
Fruitport is now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in conference matches.
“We wrestled great last night and got some quality matches,” said Fruitport Coach Chad Johnson. “We chased down bonus points in seven matches against GRCC that ultimately decided the dual. I am proud of the effort of the boys to put themselves aside and do what was needed for the team.”
