No season is perfect, and the Fruitport boys bowling team had a bad night on Monday.

The Trojans went into their O-K Sliver conference match against Hopkins with a perfect 5-0 dual record, but never got untracked and lost to the Vikings 24-6.

Fruitport is now 5-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The Trojans earned four points by winning the first baker game 163-144.

Zach Durakovic, who rolled a career-high game of 211.

They also earned two points in Game 1 when Michael Hanson and Zach Durakovic each won their one-on-one matchups. Hanson rolled a 213 and Durakovic a 211.

The Fruitport girls team also had a tough night against Hopkins, falling 29-1.

Kaitlyn Bourdon earned the Trojans’ only point by winning her matchup in Game 1.

“Trojan Bowling is better than our performance last night and as a whole, we will get better,” said Fruitport Coach Tim McKeeby. “It is time to make adjustments.
