The Fruitport boys basketball team had trouble finding its offense on Tuesday, falling 52-26 to Hamilton on the road in O-K Blue conference play.

The trouble for the Trojans started right away when Hamilton jumped out to a 13-2 lead after one quarter.

Fruitport continued to struggle with scoring and trailed 23-9 at halftime and 37-18 after three quarters.

“We had a hard time putting the ball in the basket tonight,” said Fruitport coach Steve Erny. “A lot of credit goes to Hamilton.”

Ryan Bosch paced the Trojans with eight points, Paschal Jolman added six points while Andrew Spyke and Da’syine Williams each had four.

Fruitport is now 5-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

The Trojans will try to break their two-game losing streak when they host Grand Rapids West Catholic on Friday.
