The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team won its second straight game on Friday, gutting out a 43-37 victory over Wyoming on the road in O-K Green conference play.
The Rockets got off to a good start, leading 15-4 after one quarter. Wyoming rallied and outscored R-P 15-9 in the second quarter and the Rockets had a 24-19 lead at halftime.
R-P had a 10-8 advantage in the third quarter and the Coyotes had a 10-9 edge in the fourth.
Ariel Walker paced Reeths-Puffer with 20 points and Brooklynn Tornes added eight. Irelyn Niklasch pulled down 13 rebounds while Tornes had nine rebounds and three assists.
“We did a great job tonight of controlling the tempo of the game,” said R-P Coach Rodney Walker. “The win tonight was a total team effort.”
Reeths-Puffer is now 5-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
