The Fruitport bowling teams had a tough time on Monday against Mona Shores.

The Trojans boys team lost its match 18-12. The team did well in regular games, with Jray Conklin leading the way with a 207-188-387 series.

Bradon Krohn tossed a 354 series, Gage Wadland turned in a 332, Mike Hansen came in at 297 and Zach Durakovic finished with a 263.

The trouble for the boys came in the two baker games, which they lost 192-172 and 149-139.

The Fruitport girls team, shorthanded with only two bowlers, fell by a score of 26.5-3.5

Brynna Hanson had a very good night for Fruitport, rolling a 202-225-427.

“Jray and Brynna were steady as always,” said Fruitport coach Mike Weaver. “The boys were horrible in baker games. They were probably a little let down from an exciting Saturday, and today was the first day of school after break.”
