The Muskegon Big Reds put up their best performance of the season on both sides of the ball in a lopsided win over Wyoming Friday night. Muskegon posted its first shutout and a season-high in points with a 62-0 win. 

Muskegon started fast with a 28-0 lead after one quarter. The Big Reds scored on two M’Khi Guy touchdown runs, a Jakob Price TD and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by CJ Ivy III. 

In the second quarter, Guy added two more touchdown runs and Destin Piggee found the scored once to make it 49-0 at the break.

Micheal Piggee Jr. scored a 38-yard rushing TD in the third to make it 55-0. Muskegon’s lone fourth-quarter TD came on a 16-yard pass from Julian Neely to Jay’von Gilbert. 

Guy finished with 132 rushing yards and four TDs on seven carries. He was 3-for-6 passing for 24 yards. Destin Piggee had 107 yards on four carries, while Price ran three times for 88 yards. 

Kingston Blackmon led the defense with six tackles, including a sack. Keon Drummer, Adrian Rankin Jr. and Terrance Davis Jr. each had five tackles, with Drummer adding a sack. 

Muskegon is now 5-2 on the season and 4-1 in the O-K Green conference. The Big Reds were scheduled to play Holland next week, but the Dutch ended their varsity season after Week 4.
