The Mason County Central Spartans picked up their first victory of the season with a 48-0 victory over Holton on Friday in a West Michigan Conference matchup.
The Spartans started out strong in the first quarter with a 13-yard touchdown run by Jayden Perrone, a 34-yard scoring burst by Will Chye and a 17-yard touchdown catch by Ethan Domin.
Mason County Central added three more scores in the second quarter on a 32-yard touchdown reception by Perrone, a two-yard TD run by Peyton Merz and a four-yard scoring catch by Merz.
The Spartans led 41-0 at halftime.
The second half was much quieter, with Mason County Central adding a late score in the fourth quarter on a 70-yard run by Tyler Thurow.
Chase Albright led Holton on both sides of the ball while freshman David Addison also played a strong game.
Mason County Central, now 1-3, will host Ravenna next week while Holton, 0-4, will host White Cloud.
