The Orchard View baseball team swept Muskegon 16-1 and 22-3 on Monday night in a dominant performance.
In Game 1, Emilo Villareal led the Cardinals with two hits and two RBIs on the night.
Noah Smith picked up the win on the mound, striking out seven over four innings while finishing with a hit and three RBIs at the plate.
In Game 2, Villareal had three hits and three RBIs while Smith had three hits and four RBIs of his own.
Korbin Tenbrink finished with two hits and three RBIs while Kellen Morgan picked up the win, striking out seven.
MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 3-5, WHITEHALL 1-2 – The Mason County Central baseball team swept Whitehall on Monday night.
The Spartans were led by Will Chye in Game 1 with a solo home run and two runs scored.
For Whitehall, Isaac VanAmberg allowed one run on two hits while striking out eight over six innings.
In Game 2, Chye once again led the offense, totaling two doubles, two runs and one RBI.
Jaden Brinkert and VanAmberg each had two hits to lead Whitehall.
The Vikings are now 2-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
