The Kenowa Hills boys basketball team used a 26-14 advantage in the fourth quarter to defeat Mona Shores 67-54 in a Division 1 district quarterfinal game on Monday.
The Knights jumped out to a 17-14 in the first quarter, but the Sailors took a 28-23 lead into halftime. The Knights regained the lead in the third quarter, taking a 49-42 lead into the fourth before pulling away and sealing up the win.
Donavan Russell paced the Sailors with 13 points, while Parker Swartz and Keonte Richards scored 10 points apiece.
The Sailors finish the season 9-12 overall. The Knights move on to play Muskegon in the Division 1 district semifinals on Wednesday at Muskegon High School. The game will tip off at 7 p.m.
