The Mona Shores girls basketball team rebounded from a tough loss to Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday with a stunningly easy 50-25 victory over Muskegon on Friday, leaving the O-K Black conference race in a three-way tie for first place.

Mona Shores, Muskegon and Reeths-Puffer all have 10-2 conference records heading down the stretch of the conference schedule.

Mona Shores’ Lily Miller, who scored 16 points in Friday’s big win.

The Sailors only had a 7-4 lead after one quarter, but then pulled away by outscoring the Big Reds 12-6 in the second quarter, 16-7 in the third and 15-8 in the fourth.

Mia Brown and Lily Miller paced Mona Shores with 16 points apiece while Olivia Sobczak and Khaleeya Cook each scored six points.

Mona Shores is 15-3 overall on the season while Muskegon fell to 11-6.
