The Whitehall girls basketball team pulls away in the fourth quarter of a tight contest to earn a 28-23 West Michigan Conference win over Mason County Central on Thursday night.
The was tied 6-6 after the first quarter and 16-16 at halftime.
Mason County Central had a slim 22-20 advantage heading into the fourth quarter but was outscored by the Vikings 8-1 during the final stanza.
The Spartans were led by Grace Weinert with seven points, three assists and three steals, while Wren Nelson added seven points and 15 rebounds.
Mason County Central falls to 12-6 on the season and 8-5 in league play.
