A big first half propelled the Ravenna boys basketball team to a 54-37 victory over Muskegon Catholic in a non-league matchup on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs gained their winning edge with a 14-7 advantage in the first quarter and an 11-5 advantage in the second. They led 25-12 at the break and cruised from there.

Grant Becklin paced Ravenna scorers with 15 points while Travis May added 13 and Kyle Beebe scored 13.

Jaden Johnson poured in a game-high 21 point for the Crusaders.

Ravenna improved to 9-4 on the season.
