The Mason County Central girls basketball team earned a West Michigan Conference win over Oakridge 47-35 on Thursday night.

Wren Nelson led the Spartans with 17 points and six rebounds.

Mason County Central led 10-9 after the opening quarter, then went on an 8-2 run during the second quarter to take an 18-11 advantage at halftime.

The Spartans had a 30-23 lead heading into the fourth quarter before closing the game out by going on a 17-12 run.

Adria Quigley added six points and six steals for the Spartans, while Grace Weinert had six points, three assists and six rebounds.

Mason County Central is now 8-5 on the season and 5-4 in league play.
