The North Muskegon boys basketball squad cruised to a 51-24 West Michigan Conference win over Hart on Thursday night.

The Norse led 9-6 at the end of the opening stanza then went on a 19-6 second quarter run to take a 28-12 lead at halftime.

North Muskegon outscored the Pirates by a 15-4 margin during the third quarter and led 43-16 heading into the fourth.

Troy McManus paced the Norse with 11 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists. Champ Young and James Young each added seven points.

The Pirates were led by Parker Hovey with 14 points.

North Muskegon is now 5-3 on the season and 3-2 in conference play, while the Pirates fall to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in league action.
