The Hart girls basketball team remained unbeaten in West Michigan Conference play with an exciting 37-36 victory over Montague on Tuesday.

Hart led by as many as 10 points in the second and third quarters, but Montague fought back to make the game a nail-biter.

Addi Hovey’s bucket with 1:20 left was the game-winner for the Pirates.

Hovey had a big game, finishing with nine points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three steals. Mariana VanAgtmael had 11 points, four rebounds and five steals while Aspen Boutell contributed seven points, three rebounds, six steals and three assists.

Hart improved to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.

Claire Meacham led Montague with eight points and nine rebounds. Emma Dyer added seven points and three rebounds and Kendall Osborne had five points, 10 rebounds and three assists.

Montague fell to 5-2 and 4-1.
