The Pentwater boys basketball team won an overtime thriller against Walkerville to claim its first win of the season Tuesday night. The Falcons had a 9-5 edge in the extra session to claim a 61-57 overtime win.
Tyler Plummer had the hot hand for Pentwater, scoring 31 points on the night. He also had nine steals defensively.
The two teams battled back and forth in the first half, but the Falcons trailed 25-24 heading into halftime. The Falcons outscored Walkerville 18-12 in the third quarter to take a 42-37 lead into the fourth quarter. Walkerville rallied to tie the game late, sending the teams to overtime.
Jonny Arnouts chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds, while Will Werkema-Grondsma finished with nine points and 12 rebounds.
With the win, the Falcons improve to 1-2 overall, including 1-1 in conference play.
