The Hart girls basketball team posted an impressive 52-36 victory over Western Michigan Christian on Tuesday in a battle of two of the better squads in the area.
Jayd Hovey led the Pirates with 17 points, five rebounds and four steals. Aspen Boutell added eight points and four steals and Mariana VanAgtmael scored seven points and made four steals.
Addi Hovey totaled seven rebounds and six steals for Hart.
Hart led 12-6 after one quarter, ended the first half leading 29-22, and closed the third quarter with a 42-32 advantage.
The Pirates improved to 2-1 on the season and will play Ravenna on Thursday.
