The Fruitport football team picked up a crucial 22-14 home victory over Allendale on Friday night.
After trailing 7-0, Paschal Jolman punched in a five-yard touchdown run to cut the Trojan deficit to 7-6 with 1:42 left in the second quarter.
Later in the quarter, a 60-yard touchdown pass from Gavin Reams to Aiden Vela gave Fruitport a 14-7 halftime lead.
Allendale had the lone touchdown in the third quarter, which made the score 14-14.
In the fourth quarter, Jolman broke loose for a 90-yard touchdown run with 5:20 remaining to give the Trojans a 22-14 lead.
Jolman finished with 184 yards and two scores on 13 carries. Reames totaled 135 yards and one touchdown on 5-of-10 passing.
Collin Jolman led the Trojan defense with 12 tackles on the night while Nash Cooper and Andrew Fieistra each totaled 10 tackles.
Fruitport is now 4-4 overall and 3-3 in O-K Blue Conference play. They’ll finish out the regular season with a home game versus Unity Christian.
