Elliot Riegler rushed for four touchdowns and threw for another in a 34-0 Muskegon Catholic Central win over Manistee Friday night. With the win, MCC clinches the Lakes 8 Conference title outright.
Riegler wasted little time opening the scoring, dashing for a 55-yard rushing touchdown with 10:24 left in the first quarter. The ensuing two-point conversion was converted and the Crusaders took an 8-0 lead.
Reigler added two more scores in the first quarter on 26- and 14-yard runs. Conversions for both scores failed, leaving the score 20-0 after one quarter.
Riegler added a nine-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Crusaders a 26-0 lead.
In the second half, Riegler hit Sam Convertini for a 61-yard touchdown pass, making the final 34-0.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 6-1 overall and will host Centreville next week.
