Lumberjacks come up empty on the road, falling 5-0 to the Chicago Steel

The Muskegon Lumberjacks failed to find the back of the net of Friday night, despite producing 32 shots on goal.

That led to a 5-0 loss to the Chicago SteelĀ at the brand-new USG Arena in downtown Chicago.

Muskegon allowed two goals in both the first and second periods and one in the third.

Oscar Westman suffered the loss in net for the Lumberjacks, stopping 14 of 18 shots before being replaced for Samuel Doyon-Cataquiz, who stopped two out of three shots in relief.

The Steel led 2-0 after the first period with goals from Reese Tracy at the 2:19 mark and Jason Millett 7:17 into the period.
