The Trojans completed the sweep with a 19-2 victory in Game 2.

They took control early again, scoring 12 runs in the first inning. Tatum Anderson had two hits while Kya Tawney hit an inside-the-park home run.

Bri Chiaverini pitched the win, allowing two runs on one hit with three walks and seven strikeouts in three innings.

“The girls showed up focused and took care of business,” said Fruitport head coach Katelyn Reynolds, whose team is now 6-6 overall on the season. “It was a great environment with our youth night and the opportunity for the young players to see the positivity and energy from the varsity girls.

“We have a lot of good competition coming up this week and the girls are ready to keep working.”storage [3] [4] [5] [6]mini [7] [8] [9] [10]
