The Fruitport girls track team had a great day on Tuesday, picking up three O-K Silver conference victories in quad action at Godwin Heights.

Fruitport defeated Godwin Heights 103-31, Grandville Calvin Christian 77-60 and Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian 87-50.

Fruitport’s Chloe Anderson led the way, winning both the 100-meter dash (12.68 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (26.35 seconds).

Zoe German also had a great outing, winning the 800-meter run (2:41.68) and the pole vault (8 feet, 2 inches.)
Gen Franklin won the 300-meter hurdles with a mark of 49.86 seconds.

The Trojans also had plenty of individuals finish in second place, including Bailey Garner (400 meters), German (1600 meters), Franklin (100 hurdles), Milla Dykstra (300 hurdles), Sallyana Conn (shot put and discus) and Breanna Cole (pole vault).

Two Fruitport relay teams finished runner-up, as well – the 4×200 (Layla Phan, Dykstra, Anderson and Zaveana Watkins) and the 4×400 (German, Franklin, Dykstra and Garner).

Individuals who finished third for Fruitport  were Chloe Kohley (800 meters), Lily Johnson (high jump) and Garner (pole vault).

The 4×100 relay team (Johnson, Phan, Gabrielle Morris, Emily VanStelle) and the 4×800 relay team (Chloe Kohley, Claire Kohley, Breanna Cole, Gabrielle Witherspoon) also finished third.

“We had a lot of personal best times throughout the team and the coaches were very pleased with their efforts,” said Fruitport head coach Randy Johnson.
