The Fruitport girls basketball team will be focusing on getting back on track heading into the final week of the regular season.
The Trojans have struggled a bit lately, losing five straight games following Friday’s 58-29 loss to powerful Calvin Christian in the final O-K Silver conference game of the season.
Fruitport did pick up a victory last Tuesday via a forfeit win over Godwin Heights. The Trojans are now 7-12 overall and finished with a 5-9 conference mark.

Fruitport played Calvin Christian, which tied for the conference championship, tough for one quarter on Friday.
The Trojans led 12-11 after one quarter, but that slipped away in the second quarter, when Calvin Christian had a big 16-4 advantage and led 27-16 at halftime.
The Squires had a 15-8 edge in the third quarter and a 16-5 advantage in the fourth.
Izzy Hanson-Wilbur led the Trojans with 13 points while Lily Johnson added six.
“Calvin is a tough team,” said Fruitport head coach Brian Packard. “They play to their strengths and can exploit your weaknesses. We came out of the gates well but couldn’t sustain it. We are looking forward to three non-conference games, and then districts. We have been getting better every day and that’s what we are looking at.”
The Trojans will host Western Michigan Christian on Tuesday and North Muskegon on Thursday, when will close out the regular season with a road game at Newaygo on Friday.
