The Fruitport boys basketball team lost a game back on Dec. 12, 2025, 13 days before Christmas.

The Trojans have played 14 games since then, and have not lost again.

Fruitport’s domination continued on Tuesday when the Trojans, playing for the second time in two nights, pounded Hopkins 70-47 in an O-K Silver conference matchup.

The victory featured another huge scoring night for super sophomore Dexter Lillmars, who pumped in 26 points, one night after scoring 29 in a win over Godwin Heights.

Dexter Lillmars, who scored 29 points on Monday and 26 on Tuesday.

Fruitport is now 16-2 on the season and 10-0 in conference play.

The Trojans will have a big challenge on Tuesday when they host NorthPointe Christian, which is 10-1 in the conference standings, in an O-K Silver showdown.

Fruitport beat NorthPointe in the first meeting between the teams, 67-60 on Jan. 28.

The Trojans got off to a typically sluggish start on Tuesday, grabbing a 17-11 lead over Hopkins after one quarter.

Then the separation came, with Fruitport leading 36-23 by halftime and 51-33 after three quarters.

DayDay Williams had another good night for Fruitport, scoring 16 points. Brady Hanson added 12 points, all on three-pointers, while freshman Garrett Olson chipped in 10 points.

“Another good team win tonight against a Hopkins team who has been playing teams a lot tougher lately,” said Fruitport head coach Steve Erny. “Dexter put in a great game tonight. All the attention he is getting is creating opportunities for others, and our other guys are more than capable of stepping  up.

“DayDay has been so consistently excellent this season. Garrett Olson has had a couple really solid games in a row, and Brady Hanson has really been sharp from the outside lately. Really everyone is embracing their role and finding ways to help the team win.
