Fruitport girls bowling team keeps rolling with a very easy win over Comstock Park

The Fruitport girls bowling team has won a lot of close, tense matches this season, but that was definitely not the case on Wednesday.

The Trojans were clicking in an O-K Silver conference match against Comstock Park, and rolled to an overwhelming 29-1 victory.

Every Trojan shot well above their average in the win, which kept Fruitport tied for first place in the conference standings.

Fruitport easily won both baker games, 150-118 and 133-85, took both bonus points, and led 10-0.

The Trojans completely dominated the first regular game, winning 663-491 and getting individual wins from all five bowlers – Harper Simila, Maddie Smith, Mya Herrygers, Kyleigh O’Connell (high score of 162) and Gen Franklin.

The second regular game went almost as well, with Fruitport winning 631-496 and getting four individual wins, from Ava Bradshaw, Simila, Herrygers and Franklin. Simila and Franklin each shot a 144.

Comstock Park’s only point came from a single individual win in the second game. [3]

“Kyleigh O’Connell, Genevieve Franklin and Harper Simila bowled the best series of the day. Huge shout out to Mya Herrygers for bowling two consistent games and winning her point each time”
