Fruitport led 15-10 after one quarter, then took control of the game with a 23-8 advantage in the second. The Trojans were outscored 43-39 in the second half, but maintained their advantage to get the win.

Sophomore Dexter Lillmars led Fruitport with 23 points while senior DayDay Williams and junior Hudson Hazekamp added 18 apiece.

Garrett Olson, Brady Hanson, David Johnson-Jimenez and Rodney Robinson combined for 19 important points.storage [3]

“This was probably our most complete game of the season so far,” said Fruitport head coach Steve Erny. “A great second quarter extended our lead and we did a good job not giving up any big runs in the second half. We moved the ball well and consistently found the open man.

“For us to have our top three scorers each score over 18 points, and then to get contributions from several others, that makes us a very difficult team to stop. We have to continue to grow and get better, but I am proud of the effort tonight.” [4] [5] [6] [7]mini [8] [9]
