There was a time, just a few weeks ago, when the Fruitport boys soccer team was 0-3-2 after five games, and everyone wondered what happened to the Trojans.
Well, Fruitport has won six straight games since then, with the latest being an easy 8-0 victory over Comstock Park on Tuesday in an O-K Silver conference matchup. The Trojans are 6-3-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference standings.

Adriano Saadi led Fruitport with three goals while Jyles Smith had two. Jorge Burgos-Yack, Ryder Merkins and Gavin Wilson each added single tallies.
Satchel Norwood totaled three assists for the Trojans. Hudson Hazekamp and Smith both had one.
Goalkeepers Mason Kettel and Sebastian Sweet combined to make three saves and record the shutout.

Ryder Doherty and Nathaniel Cribley-Cotto were also credited with strong play for Fruitport.
The Trojans, seeking to defend their conference championship, will have a test on Thursday when they host Kelloggsville, which has a 3-1 record in the O-K Silver. They will visit Reeths-Puffer on Saturday morning in a non-conference matchup.
