The Fruitport volleyball team still has occasional growing pains – like last Saturday, when the Trojans lost two of three matches at an invitational tournament – but they remain perfect in conference play.
The Trojans improved to 4-0 in the O-K Silver conference standings on Thursday with a dominant 25-12, 25-10, 25-18 victory over Comstock Park.
Fruitport is working to repeat its 2024 conference championship.

“It was a great win tonight,” said Fruitport head coach Nicole Bayle, whose team is now 15-7-1 overall. “We had contributions from most of the team. It has been a while since we have played at home, and it was so great to be back in our gym!
“We are continuing to grow and improve as a team as the season progresses.”
Izzy Hansen-Wilbur and Ellie Stroup led the offense with eight and six kills, respectively.
Emma Fecher served four aces and set up the offense with a team-high 16 assists.
Defensively, Ellie Stroup led the effort with 12 digs.
