The Fruitport boys golf team is still waiting for that day to come when everyone plays well at the same time, but the Trojans are still getting at least one great outing from someone every time they play.

It was Chase Sullivan again on Wednesday, shooting a nine-hole round of 40 to finish in sixth place individually at the latest O-K Silver Conference Jamboree at Candlestone Golf Club.

According to Coach Aaron Gregory, Sullivan showed a lot of grit to gain the top 10 finish.

“I am incredibly proud of Chase Sullivan’s finish,” Gregory said. “He had a poor start, but was able to grind out a good score. That is something he did not do as much the last couple years, but today he showed a deeper mental toughness and it was fun to watch.”

The Trojans finished fourth at the event with a team score of 177. NorthPointe Christian took first place with a 154,

Hunter Fritz was second on the Trojans with a 45, which was good for 20th place individually. Cole Woodard and Landon Lodholts each shot a 47 and tied for 25th while Tyler Carlson shot a 48 and took 27th.eddiestorageminith brands
