The Fruitport softball team now has five wins in a row following two victories on Saturday in its own Larry Cantu Invitational tournament.
Both of the wins were by big margins, which has been the norm for the Trojans lately – 16-0 over Comstock Park and 12-0 over Hastings.
In Game 1, the Trojans scored four runs in the first inning, six in the second and six in the third.
Fruitport piled up 12 hits in the game. Khloe Courtade led the way with three hits and six RBIs. Kya Tawney had two hits and drove in five runs.

Courtade also pitched the win, allowing only one hit and striking out four in three innings.
In Game 2, Brooklyn Russell led the Trojans with three hits, including a two-run homer, and four RBIs.
The Trojans took control with by scoring six runs in the third inning.
Russell also pitched the win, allowing only one hit and striking out four in five innings.
Fruitport improved to 16-1 on the season. The Trojans will visit Belding for a pair of O-K Silver conference games on Tuesday.
“Huge shout out to my girls,” said Fruitport Coach Bob Dorman. “They showed up Saturday morning ready to play. They all went to the plate very focused, looking for their pitch and being aggressive, and got great results.”
