The Fruitport boys golf team has had several players post great individual performances this season.
The latest was Chase Sullivan, who shot a one-over-par 36 and tied for second place individual at Monday’s O-K Silver conference jamboree at Scott Lake Golf Course.
The frustration for the Trojans is that they haven’t had the results they want as a team.
Fruitport finished third in Monday’s team standings, which is also where they finished in the first two conference jamborees. Calvin Christian took first place.

Tyler Carlson shot a 44 for Fruitport, which left him in 12th place individually. Hunter Fritz shot a 45 (17th place), Eli Cuti shot a 46 (22nd place), while Landon Lodholtz and Cole Woodard both shot a 47 (tied for 24th).
“For the second match in a row we had a player have a really good day,” said Fruitport Coach Aaron Gregory. “The problem then and again today was that no one else stepped up. Chase had a couple bad holes today, but played with a lot of resiliency and bounced back throughout his round.
“Hopefully we can have a day soon when all our guys play well. I know what they are capable of and I hope they are able to show that in a match soon.”
