The Pollocks did some of their best work right at home on Saturday.

He beat Jeryn Frisbie of Belding by four seconds.

Both the Fruitport boys and girls teams had good days overall.

Teammates Drew Powell (23:26) and Josh Vanstelle (23:27) finished just behind Peck, in 59th and 60th place, respectively.

The Trojan girls finished third in the team standings with 52 points, one point behind second-place Belding.

Grand Rapids West Catholic took first place with 42 points.

Treasure Fleese

Fruitport’s Zoe German finished seventh individually with a time of 22:01. Treasure Fleese was 10th with a time of 22:38. Sophie Christopher came in 18th place with a mark of 23:53 and Genevieve Franklin was 26th with a time of 24:49.

“We had a few personal records in the race,” said Randy Johnson, who coaches both Fruitport teams. “I was very pleased with the times the kids ran.  This is a winding course, which slows the runners down, so running a PR on this course is tough to do.”minieddiestorageth brands
