Fruitport goalie Logan Werschem and the defensive back line of Braxton Ward, Sam Krueger, Carlos Cruz and Isaiah Packard did a great job on the other end, keeping the Norse off the scoreboard.

Werschem recorded five saves in the game.

Fruitport Coach Dan Hazekamp credited Satchel Norwood, Carter Gregor and Hudson Hazekamp with strong midfield play.

Fruitport will return to conference action on Tuesday, hosting an important game against NorthPointe Christian.
