The Fruitport volleyball team must be absorbing some vibes from the undefeated soccer team, because the Trojans have been very hot lately.
They beat Godwin Heights in three pretty easy sets on Thursday to record their fourth straight victory, and their eighth win in the past nine matches.
Fruitport is now 14-6 overall and a perfect 3-0 in O-K Silver conference play.
The Trojans rolled past the Wolverines by set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-12.

“From the very first serve, we controlled the game, showcasing our dominance in all aspects of play,” said Fruitport Coach Nicole Bayle. “Our strong serving, solid defense and precise attacks kept Godwin heights on their back feet throughout the match.
“It was a complete-team effort. Our well-rounded performance left no room for a comeback.”
Sadie Haase recorded 12 kills for the Trojans and Izabel Hanson-Wilbur added seven.
Gracelynn Olson had 30 assists and served six aces. Tara Sweet added four aces.
Defensively, Ellie Stroup had seven digs while Olson and Hanson-Wilbur each had six. [3]
