In the boys race, Fruitport also did very well, taking second place in the four-team competition.

The Trojans had 69 points, beating Mona Shores (71) and Reeths-Puffer (83). Hudsonville took first place with 19 points.

Landon Johnson finished 13th at 19:19 while Enzo Aggoune was 25th (21:43), Dylan Winskas took 27th (21:48) and Landon Peck finished 43rd (25:53).

“Both boys and girls ran well,” said Fruitport coach Randy Johnson. “Vincent and Landon for the boys and Valerie and Treasure for the girls ran it as a tune-up race for our meet on Friday.  The others on the team showed they love to compete and raced well for their second race.  For a new group of runners they love to challenge themselves and that is going to make for a great team. It is going to be fun to watch them develop as the season goes on.”eddie
