Tatum Dykstra was the only Fruitport athlete to win All-Conference honors at Friday’s O-K Blue Conference Championship track meet.
Dykstra earned the honor by accumulating points in three different events at the meet, which was hosted by Fruitport High School.
She finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.06 and third in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:11.72.
Dykstra was also a member of the third-place Fruitport 4 x 800 relay team, which also included Tresa Dykstra, Valerie Pollock and Lauren Lee.
Several other Fruitport athletes also performed well in the meet.
Julia Smith had the best overall finish by taking second place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.71.
In the boys meet, Fruitport’s Luke Westerlund finished third in the discus competition with a throw of 134-8. SeanPaul O’Brien was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 19-9.
The Trojans’ 4 x100 relay team of Shondaris McCain, O’Brien, Franklin Kotecki and Kayden Beardsley took fifth place with a time of 46.67.
