The Fruitport girls soccer team will be looking for more offense on Friday when it hosts Lowell in a non-conference matchup.
The Trojans have had a goal-scoring shortage over the past week, resulting in three close losses.
Fruitport fell to Reeths-Puffer 2-0 on Saturday. While the Trojans failed to score, Coach Kyle Hall credited Izzy Hanson-Wilbur, Lauren Reidel and McKenzie Pate for solid defensive play.
The scoring drought continued on Monday with a 2-0 loss to Holland Christian in O-K Blue conference action.
[1]Coach Hall gave a nod to goalkeeper Riley Kettle, as well as Morgan Wescott, Mallory Smith, Izzy Hanson-Wilbur, and Jorja Blackmer for strong performances.
The Trojans broke the scoring slump on Wednesday in a 3-1 conference loss to Allendale.
