The Fruitport baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader at Sparta on Saturday.
The Trojans got off to a good start, winning the opener 5-0.
Hudson Hazekamp pitched a complete-game win, scattering three hits with one walk and one strikeout. He was assisted by a strong defense that turned several double plays.

Brady Frensh led the Fruitport offense with three hits while Ryan Bosch, Jax Flynn and Braxton Ward had two apiece.
The Trojans lost the second game 15-8.
Avery Lambers had two hits and knocked in three runs for Fruitport. Trevor Rusnak added two hits and two RBIs while Christian Kennedy also had two hits.
Fruitport, now 3-2 on the season, will visit Holland Christian for an O-K Blue conference doubleheader on Tuesday.
