Fruitport wrestler Kyle Holt won the 120-pound division championship on Friday at the O-K Blue Conference Tournament.

Five other Trojans also placed high and won medals, led by Cooper Lengkeek and Zach Aardema, who finished second in their respective weight classes.

Fruitport finished fifth out of seven teams with 75 points. Hamilton won the team championship.

Holt, now 29-7 on the season, qualified for the championship round by overwhelming Allendale’s Ronnie Silveira 10-2 in a semifinal match.

He went on to defeat Hamilton’s Ethan Goodwin 9-4 in the finals.

Lengkeek, 27-9 on the season, got past Allendale’s Aiden Stevens 7-3 in the semifinal round before falling to Hamilton’s Jacob Chase in the title match.

Aardema, 21-6, beat Hamilton’s Matthew Fales 12-1 in the semifinals then lost to Allendale’s Jaxon Ramos in the finals.

Phillip Stone-Tyler (106 pounds) and Luke Westerlund (215) each came in third place in their weight classes while Blair Zimmer (144) finished fourth.eddie
