The Fruitport girls basketball team came up short in a non-conference matchup against Comstock Park on Tuesday, falling 48-40.
The Trojans led 12-10 after one quarter but trailed 22-16 at halftime and 37-29 heading into the fourth quarter.
Izzy Hanson-Wilbur led Fruitport with 15 points and five rebounds while Rhiannon Raleigh added 13 points and 10 rebounds.
“We shot the ball pretty badly, and as the old saying goes, this game is, was and always will be about buckets,” said Fruitport Coach Brian Packard. “We struggled to score.”
Fruitport dropped to 5-16 on the season.
The Trojans will host Fremont on Thursday in the final game of the regular season before hosting Orchard View next Tuesday in Division 2 district tournament play.
