Remember back in late December, when the Fruitport boys basketball team was 4-2 and playing well against non-conference competition?

The trouble is that the Trojans started conference play in January, and the O-K Blue division is brutally tough, particularly for young and developing teams like Fruitport.

Fruitport dropped its 13th straight game on Tuesday (all but two of those losses were against conference foes), falling 71-30 to Coopersville on the road.

The host Broncos grabbed a 16-4 lead after one quarter and never lett up on the gas. Coopersville led 39-15 at halftime and 57-24 after three quarters.

Ryan Bosch led the Trojan offense with 10 points while Hudson Hazekamp added eight.

Fruitport, now 4-15 overall and 0-11 in the conference, will visit Allendale on Friday.eddie
