After a sluggish start, the Fruitport boys basketball team took control in the third quarter and cruised to a 64-50 victory over Muskegon Catholic Central on Friday night in non-conference action.
The game was close in the first half, with the Trojans leading 20-17 after one quarter and 34-28 at halftime.
The third quarter was the big difference, with Fruitport outscoring the Crusaders 28-9 to take control of the contest.

Junior Ryan Bosch led the Trojans with 15 points. DayDay Williams added 12, Grade Anspach had 10 points and Kyle Burke chipped in eight.
“Once we picked up our aggression and got back to some basics, I was happy with how our guys played,” said Fruitport Coach Steve Erny. “Nine players scored tonight, which was great to see.”
The Trojans, now 4-2, will return to action on Wednesday with a game against Whitehall at 3 p.m. at Reeths-Puffer High School, as part of the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame holiday showcase.
